Tatjana Jovičić, MD

Specialist in Pediatrics

With extensive work experience across various healthcare institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, including JZU Hospital Istočno Sarajevo, health centers in Republika Srpska, and General Hospital "Prim. Dr. Abdulah Nakaš," this pediatrician has served at primary, secondary, and tertiary levels of care. She has worked as a general physician (in surgery and intensive care), as a pediatric specialist, and as a pediatric consultant for primary and secondary healthcare levels. She was also one of the founding members of the pediatric and neonatology departments at JZU Hospital Istočno Sarajevo and OB "Prim. Dr. Abdulah Nakaš."

Her longstanding career includes the care of children from birth through adolescence, conducting comprehensive assessments to monitor growth and development, diagnosing and treating diseases, medical conditions, and injuries. She performs and interprets diagnostic tests and prescribes treatments, medications, and vaccinations. Additionally, she offers guidance and support to parents on health, safety, nutrition, and physical activity for their children.

In 2009/10, she completed a year-long education in neonatology at the University Clinical Center Sarajevo, Pediatric Clinic – Neonatology Department, focused on intensive and standard care, pediatric radiology, orthopedics, and surgery. Throughout her career, she has been involved in the training of junior colleagues, pediatric residents, and other medical specialists, and she has also served as a teaching assistant for medical students at the Sarajevo School of Science and Technology (SSST).
